2nd Circular ISOS-18 & ASiS-6, Ji’nan, China, August 6 – 11, 2017

Dear colleagues,

ISOS-18, the 18th International Symposium on Silicon Chemistry, held jointly with ASiS-6, the 6th Asian Silicon Symposium, will bring together academic and industrial scientists and students from around the globe to present and discuss the latest and most exciting aspects of silicon chemistry in Ji’nan, China, August 6 – 11, 2017. The 5-star Shandong Hotel, Ji’nan (www.sdhotel.com.cn/en/index.html) will provide an attractive forum for exchanging new ideas and building cooperation between the young and the world’s leading academic and industrial scientists and researchers within the silicon community.

Silicon chemists from different fields will demonstrate their contributions to the vibrant and fascinating field of silicon chemistry – from fundamentals, new applications in raw materials processing, to innovative and reliable technical solutions to world problems, including for energy efficiency and sustainability.

In addition, more than 50 invited speakers from more than 15 countries will present their outstanding chemistry at ISOS-18 & ASiS-6. A special Chinese-English bilingual session centered on organosilicon technology for industrial applications will also be arranged. Speakers can introduce their work using either of the two languages. We would like to invite you to present your latest and most exciting results in silicon chemistry at ISOS-18 & ASiS-6 – as a lecture and/or poster presentation. In particular, we would like to encourage 20 of the best PhD students and young researchers to present short lectures, the best of which will be awarded!

Chemistry – An Asian Journal and Chinese Journal of Chemistry will publish a special issue dedicated to silicon chemistry on the occasion of ISOS-18 Ji’nan 2017, respectively.
