The Asian Silicon Symposium (ASiS) held in Asia every two years represents a forum where all aspects of silicon chemistry are discussed by scientists, both professionals and students, working in the field of academic and industrial silicon chemistry in Asia, the silicon societies of China, Korea, and Japan. Previous ASiS meetings were successfully held in 2007 at Zao in Miyagi, Japan (ASiS-1), in 2008 at Jeju, Korea (ASiS-2) and in 2010 at Hangzhou, China (ASiS-3).

This time the symposium returns to Japan. As the hosts at the University of Tsukuba, we would like to welcome participants from both academia and industry to spend four days with us in Tsukuba Science City.
